1. Welcome & Beta Acknowledgment
By using this site, you agree to these terms. This tool is currently in Beta, meaning features, calculations, and interfaces may evolve based on user feedback. We appreciate your patience as we refine the experience for all Canadians.
2. What This Tool Is (And Isn't)
Our retirement calculator is a free, educational planning aid. It helps you visualize savings scenarios, estimate future needs, and explore how variables like contributions, inflation, and Canadian benefit programs (RRSP, TFSA, CPP, OAS) may influence your retirement timeline.
Scope Clarification: Outputs are mathematical projections based on your inputs. They are intended for educational and planning purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment, tax, or professional advice. For personalized guidance, consult a licensed financial advisor or tax professional.
3. How You May Use This Tool
We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial license to use the calculator. You are welcome to:
- Use the tool freely for your own planning
- Share the direct link with friends, family, or communities
- Submit feedback, report bugs, or suggest improvements
4. Restrictions & Prohibited Uses
To keep this tool free, secure, and accessible, you agree not to:
- Resell, license, embed, scrape, or commercially exploit the calculator, its outputs, or underlying code
- Reverse-engineer, automate, or mass-download site content for commercial purposes
- Interfere with site functionality, overload servers, or bypass security measures
- Use the tool for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable Canadian laws
5. Advisor Referral Program
We may partner with independent, licensed financial advisors who wish to receive qualified referrals from this platform. If you choose to connect with a partner:
- We may receive compensation for each verified, qualified lead
- Partners are independent professionals; we do not endorse, supervise, or guarantee their services
- Your participation is entirely voluntary and requires explicit consent before any information is shared
- You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence before engaging any advisor
We only work with licensed, ethical professionals who agree to transparent, user-respecting practices.
6. Ads, Donations & Site Support
The site is supported by non-intrusive advertising and optional donations. Ads are placed respectfully and never interrupt your workflow. Donations are entirely voluntary and help cover server, domain, and development costs. We do not pressure, guilt, or mislead users into contributing.
7. Security & Access Management
We monitor for spam, automated scraping, and unauthorized commercial use. As outlined in our Privacy Policy, we may temporarily log technical data (including IP addresses) solely to detect abuse, enforce these terms, and maintain site integrity. We reserve the right to restrict or suspend access for users or IP addresses that violate these terms, particularly those attempting to commercialize or resell the tool.
8. Limitations & Liability
The site is provided "as is" and "as available." We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee error-free calculations, uninterrupted access, or compatibility with all devices. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and limit liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this tool or reliance on its projections.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of Ontario. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. We believe in resolving issues fairly and encourage you to contact us first if you have concerns.
10. Updates & Contact
We may update these terms to reflect service changes, legal requirements, or beta program evolution. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
